The Pathway To Financial Prosperity Persistence- Missing Ingredient 04/11/2010

        Matthew 9:20-22 (KJV)

20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:  21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.  22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

For too long the body of Christ has believed the person of Jesus is all we need to achieve financial prosperity. If that is true then why are sinners prospering financially?  If that is true why did Jesus say the children of the world are wiser than the children of light?

The world is prospering without the person of Jesus Christ, while we are quoting scriptures. “The wealth of the wicked….” When are we going to go in get it? They are applying Biblical principles that God can’t ignore because they work for whosoever will.

There are people here who Love the Lord- tithers- givers & live a Godly life BUT… still having financial problems.

Persistence is the missing ingredient- at all costs I will attain that which has been promised to me.

Ingredients of Persistence- Woman with issue of blood

        1. Endured for - Twelve years- some of us can’t last 12 days- this is where the ungodly are beating us out

        2. She Encouraged herself. She said within herself…. - She had made up her mind – nothing is going to stop me! you better show God you are serious!

        3. Pressed through – she had her miracle territory in sight- pressed through the crowd until she reached her goal. It doesn’t do you any good to see…

The Pathway To Financial Prosperity Creating A Defining Moment Through Your Giving 04/04/2010

        Luke 21:1-4 (NIV)

1 As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. 2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. 3 "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. 4 All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."

If I were to take a camera and snap photographs of …. Her gestures, her clothing, her expression, the place she sits, would forever be etched in time. These pictures could be passed on from generation to generation to give it an “almost” eternal existence. It creates a defining moment

Facts that create a defining moment through your giving

        1.  Jesus is looking at the gifts that we bring into his temple- vs 1. He is interested. What I give creates a memorial before Him. Every time I give I create a defining moment – a moment etched in time that can’t be changed

        2. He knows whether our giving touches us – is it a sacrificial offering? Does it touch you does it touch the father?

This morning we celebrate resurrection Sunday. The father’s giving of His Son Jesus created a defining moment - forever etched in eternity.

        3. You are forever remembered by your giving- how do I know. Because we are still talking about this widow. – Acts 10  Cornelius, woman with the alabaster box who poured that expensive ointment on Jesus’ head

Our giving creates an eternal picture!

From time to time we are in the habit of pulling out our photo albums- looking at those defining moments in our lives. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry. One thing is for sure a memory that was created is brought back into that present moment of time
