The Process of Identifying Your Seed

 

 Today I want to talk to you about identifying your seed. What I mean by this is identifying the seed that is going to bring the breakthrough you are looking for: It makes no sense to sow and get 0 results when you can be 100% sure…

 

HOW DO I ID my seed?

 

1. We can’t tell the Holy Spirit that we don’t have a seed-  We look at the giant in our path and feel we do not have the resources to remove it.

 

Vs 17. The disciples said “We have only 5 loaves and 2 fish”…. Stop telling the Holy Spirit what you don’t have. Is anything too hard for God?

 

2. Let the Holy Spirit ID the seed needed to bring a breakthrough.

 

5 loaves an 2 fish – Jesus could have said ok bring 1 loaf and 1 fish.. - ask Him what seed must be sown to remove that debt, to purchase that home, or whatever your desire or need is. You should not come into the sanctuary deciding what you will give above your tithe….

 

2 kings 4- widow and her oil  1 Kings 17- widow last meal-

 

The very thing in your hand that you are discoounting is the very thing that will bring the breakthrough!

 

Then…

 

3. The master key to your financial break-through is found in verse 19-

 

You must do what Jesus did. Speak over that seed in faith.  When you release that seed with faith to the High Priest, he makes an exchange from this world’s system to the kingdom system and returns it to you.

 

It looks like nothing has happened. It looks like the same $20 but now you know an exchange has taken place and your seed has been multiplied

 

 

4. Follow the instruction of the Holy Spirit.

 

When do you think those loaves multiplied???

 

He’s going to give you a plan, an idea, It will be bigger than you. There’s no money in heaven – deut 8:18- He’ll show you where that fish is with the gold in its mouth. If you don’t listen you will miss your harvest

Making Your Way Prosperous With the Financial Seed

 

Mark 4:26-28 (KJV)

 

 26 And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;  27 And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.  28 For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.

 

 

Being in miracle territory doesn’t mean everything is alright- because there are giants here and there is work to be done before we can occupy.

 

Therefore, we must know how the kingdom of God system operates- in relation to our money. A steward knows how the master’s system works. God began to give them a plan on how to systematically remove the giants

 

This is what I want to do this morning: Show you how to manifest the word in your finances to overcome debt, to accomplish your dreams and desires- as long as they line up with the Word of God.

 

NOTE: Everything in the Kingdom Operates by a seed- Manifesting anything in the Word starts with a seed. Word seed - and we can sow money seed.

 

Mark 4: 26   Gen 8:22- as long as the…

 

1. Name your seed- Every farmer knows what he plants. Target that need or desire with your seed. You may have to sow more than one time – let the Holy Spirit lead you

 

2. Have expectation- Your faith MUST go in with your financial seed-

without faith…  faith is the substance of things hoped for… It’s the magic ingredient

 

3. Go about your business and let process take its course-

 

A. Keep your words right.  B. Stop worrying about when God is going to do it. We can give the world our money for 20 years… C. Your actions should line up with your expected harvest. If you want out of debt then in the mall with your credit card is not the place to be.. You will abort your harvest 

D. Thank the Lord daily for that harvest

 

 

4. Begin looking for your harvest- see small results at first. Blade ear full. – there’s seed in the blade..

Renewing Your Mind to The Impossibilities of Giving

 

 

Miracle territory is not a one-time event, but it is a lifestyle that the Father wants us to walk and operate in. If we are going to flourish in this land “flowing with milk and honey”, then we need to renew our minds to the impossibilities of giving.

 

 Why? Because there are some who are giving but still not seeing results!

 

When I last taught I mentioned you can’t bring that old “Egyptian” way of thinking about your finances into miracle territory.. Let’s renew…

 

 

1. Impossible to give anything away-

 

When we were in Egypt we thought that giving was a loss. Luke 6:38.  

 

 

2. Impossible to outgive God

 

You will always receive more than you gave

 

2 Cor 9:10-11

 

10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

 

 

3. Impossible to be in lack- Here’s the one we get stuck at.

 

Now I didn’t say that it was impossible to run into a hindrance or difficulty, according to this Bible it is impossible for the giver to walk in lack

 

      a. God is not a man that He should lie- Number 23:19

      b. Psalm 37:25- I have been young…

Staying out of Egypt

 

DEUTERONOMY 11: 8-11 (NIV)

 

7 But it was your own eyes that saw all these great things the LORD has done.  8 Observe therefore all the commands I am giving you today, so that you may have the strength to go in and take over the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess, 9 and so that you may live long in the land that the LORD swore to your forefathers to give to them and their descendants, a land flowing with milk and honey. 10 The land you are entering to take over is not like the land of Egypt, from which you have come, where you planted your seed and irrigated it by foot as in a vegetable garden. 11 But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven. 12 It is a land the LORD your God cares for; the eyes of the LORD your God are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end.



 

Dr Adams taught on 6-12… What happens in Egypt doesn’t stay in Egypt. I can change my dwelling place but the Old place comes with me.. still inside me waiting to cause me to revert back.

 

How to stay out of Egypt?

 

1. Remember the things He has already brought you through-  v7

 

Some were on the verge of BK, losing your businesses, inability to pay rent, out of work not for months, but years,

 

 

2. Continue to tithe & give your offerings-  vs 8-9

Don’t lose your financial strength by failing to continue doing the very thing that got you here

 

 

3.  The rules In Miracle Territory are different than those in Egypt.

You can’t operate the same way here as you did in Egypt. We are so used to toiling and expecting everything to be see hard .. v 10-12

 

Toiling days are over- stepped into a land of abundance, Step into His Financial rest a place where it’s not by might or power but by my Spirit. Is it alright for God to make some things easy for you without you getting suspicious?

Last week we looked at:
What it looks likes when abiding and the blessing are in operation

1. We are not subject to the plagues encountered by those in the world
   
   
2. God will make a distinction between your possessions/finances and
   
   
3. People will want to investigate what God is doing in your life!
   
   

Today we will look at living example of abiding and the blessing in action.

Joseph’s life is an undeniable witness to the results of abiding in the word and with the Word. Let’s glean some of the nuggets in this text

1. The Lord was with Him-
   
   

We see this in several of the verses I read this morning “the Lord was with Him.” Notice no matter what economic position he was in, the Lord was with Him.

Abiding is not a tangible thing. It’s not something everyone can readily see. It happens in the secret place.

Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

It’s dwelling with Him, following him, and being determined to stick to His ways no matter what the cost.  

No matter what pit you find yourself in, No matter how you got there. He will pull you out!

He has promised to never leave or forsake us.

1. You won’t always remain on top-
   
   

Even though you are abiding and it’s apparent that the Lord is with you, you will not always remain on top.

One moment Joseph is strutting across the field in his multicolored robe, then his brothers throw him in a pit, then he ends up in the palace, only to find himself in prison.



Why?

• Circumstances of life- we live in a fallen world
  
  
• Testing- reveals our hearts
  
  
• Training- that leads to promotion
  
  

Don’t look at the discomfort of the now moment and miss your blessing!

1. Humility brings elevation-
   
   

Joseph knew who he was. He knew the blessing was upon him. He knew the dream God had placed in his heart, but he also knew that humility brings elevation. When he was in the prison he humbled himself and served as unto the Lord.

I Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Joseph takes a journey from the pit, to the palace, to the prison, and became  prime minister of a nation because he knew how to abide with God. In his life we uncover these nuggets of truth concerning abiding and the blessing in action

1. The Lord was with Him
   
   
2. You won’t always remain on top-

Exodus 8:21-23 Exodus 9:3-4 & 7

Last week we looked at:
The blessing – What it is and how to walk in it.
The blessing is not a tangible thing. It’s about position. It’s about covenant. It is an empowerment to prosper us in every area of your lives. It is the power of God combined with our natural ability and it produces supernatural results.

How do we walk in the blessing- financially?
Like Abraham, we have to be willing to abandon everything- our ways of handling our finances, our thoughts and desires and permit God to direct our paths.

Today we will look at what it looks likes when abiding and the blessing are in operation together- because you can’t have one without the other. What I mean by this is, to the extent you abide in a given area, you will see the manifestation of the blessing.

1. We are not subject to the plagues encountered by those in the world system.
   
   

Vs  22 " 'But on that day I will deal differently with the land of Goshen, where my people live; no swarms of flies will be there, so that you will know that I, the LORD, am in this land

My people- more than a person who walks around saying I am saved. The My people are those who are abiding in the word and with the Word and thus seeing a manifestation of the blessing. God says He will deal differently in the land where you live- On your job, in your neighborhood, in your health, and in your finances.

Key* We can only participate in this protection, if we are abiding in the word of God!
We have a choice to make Deuteronomy 30:19 (New International Version) 19 This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

1. God will make a distinction between your possessions/finances and those who are in the world.

Exodus 9:4 (NIV)4But the LORD will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and that of Egypt, so that no animal belonging to the Israelites will die.' "
Livestock- represents income. Represent livelihood. Egypt’s economy was affected when their livestock was destroyed.
God will single you out. He will make a distinction between your economy and those outside of the kingdom.
Do you see a difference between yourself and those in the world? Are you suffering from the same financial plagues of those in the world?
If you are truly abiding, you will be singled out

1. People will want to investigate what God is doing in your life!
   
   

Exodus 9:7 Pharaoh sent men to investigate and found that not even one of the animals of the Israelites had died.

We don’t draw people to Christ with money, and cars and houses. This message is preached from many pulpits.  If sinners are drawn to the church because of wealth, and the people have no substance, they will not remain.

Rev 3:17 You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
Jesus said, If I be lifted up…  

Your abiding and the resultant manifestation of the blessing in every area of your life is what draws people to Christ.

Last week we looked at:
What it means to Abide?
The word Abide is a verb- meaning action is required –
To stay- in a given place, state, or relation; to dwell, to endure, to remain and to stand.
We looked at the text from John 15:4-8 and realized the key to abiding was staying connected to the vine- the written and Living word of God

***As born again believers, it’s possible to be connected to the vine in other areas and still be disconnected financially.****

Today we are going to look at the blessing – What it is and how to walk in it.
If you have read the story of our Father Abraham you know he picked up, left all and followed after God. He was a man who knew how to abide with God and the blessing was evident in his life.
What is the Blessing?
Many times we hear people say “I am waiting on my blessing.” If that is your confession, you will find yourself waiting for a long time, because if you are born again, the blessing has already been imparted to you!

The blessing is not a tangible thing. It’s about position. It’s about covenant. It is an empowerment to prosper us in every area of your lives. It is the power of God combined with our natural ability and it produces supernatural results.

Let’s look at the reality of this empowerment in Gen 27. We pick up here where Jacob has stolen Esau’s birthright and Esau comes in to get his blessing.

Gen 27:32-34
32 And his father Isaac said to him, “Who are you?” So he said, “I am your son, your firstborn, Esau.” 33 Then Isaac trembled exceedingly, and said, “Who? Where is the one who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate all of it before you came, and I have blessed him—and indeed he shall be blessed.” 34 When Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with an exceedingly great and bitter cry, and said to his father, “Bless me—me also, O my father!”

When God says indeed you shall be blessed, then you better believe you are blessed! Unlike Jacob and Esau, we are not in competition for the blessing. It has been imparted to everyone who confesses Christ as their Savior. We must accept it and learn to walk in it. We manifest it to the degree that we abide with and in the word

How do we walk in the blessing- financially?
4: So Abram departed as the LORD had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

How?

It’s very simple. Like Abraham, we have to be willing to abandon everything- our ways of handling our finances, our thoughts and desires and permit God to direct our paths.


Abraham was 75, when the blessing was released In his life. It’s never too late to late to walk In the blessing.  Walking in the blessing is not about your income. You can make $20k per year and the blessing will make it look like you earn $50K. Your desire and assignment determine your income.

We want the financial blessing but we must realize there is a price to pay to release it - that price is abiding in the word and with the Word – Jesus Christ

Practical Steps to release the financial blessing:

1. Tithe and offering- Do you understand what you are doing?
   
   
2. Be a good steward of the finances you have now?
   
   
3. Stop accumulating debt.
   
   
4. Get with God to create a plan to pay off existing debt- when you get serious He will get serious and He help you.
   
   
5. Speak the word of God over your finances daily-  
   
   

Pastor Rita made this statement in her Bible study a few Wednesdays ago “A Godly woman avoids any present situation that would be destructive to her future usefulness to God”

Since you know you are blessed then don’t participate in destructive financial practices that will hinder the flow of the blessing and interfere with your future financial usefulness to God

4 Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8 By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

Though we are looking at many themes this year, we must remember that our overall theme is that of birthing. God is trying to teach us how to give birth to the financial increase that we read about in His word.  

Releasing…………

What does it mean to Abide?
The word Abide is a verb- meaning action is required –
To stay- in a given place, state, or relation; to dwell, to endure, to remain and to stand.
Application:

1. How do we abide in the Word of God?

We read in the text, that the branch has to remain “connected” to the vine, if fruitfulness is going to occur. Likewise, we must remain “connected” to the written word of God and the Living Word of God.

We must be compelled to dwell, to endure, to remain, and to stand upon the word of God and our relationship with Him, regardless of the circumstances.

1. How do I stay connected?

If I am trying to stay connected financially…

1. Readand meditate on the word of God-
2. Confess his word,
3. Pray- Listening prayer…

When a branch is connected, it draws life from the source.  Otherwise we’ll be like the branch in vs 6. … You can be born again and disconnected…. Financially if you do not abide in the Word concerning your finances

1. Results of Abiding in the Word of God- concerning finances?

7:  If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. 8: By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples.

If you are abiding, you are not going to ask amiss…. Vs 8- God is glorified when His people prosper!

Psalm 35:27 (NKJV) 27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favor my righteous cause; And let them say continually,   “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.
Here is where we begin to tap into the financial

anointing- Burden removing & Yoke destroying power of God.

And release or give birth to (through abiding) financial blessings of God

We can release or give birth to financial blessings by abiding in the word of God. We have looked at the meaning of abiding, how we abide and the result of abiding. Next week we will look at the blessing for abiding, what it is, what it looks like, and how to walk in it.

Developing Your Financial Confidence
Hebrews 4: 12-16 (NIV)
As Financial Stewards we are required to operate in the system of increase that the Father has laid out for us through- Tithe & offerings-
It’s the foundation in developing our financial confidence because it shows the Father that I am looking to Him as my financial source and it gives me the confidence to make my requests to him based upon the promises He has given me in His word
We see in Hebrews 4 how to Develop Confidence-
1. Believe that the Word is living and active (KJV – Quick & Powerful) – When I declare the word I should expect it (carried out by angels) to go to work on my behalf. Further, my confidence comes based upon my relationship with the person backing up the word
2. Realize I must come “clean” with God concerning my finances

Scripture says Everything is laid bare before him - This may mean I need to repent for how I have handled His finances. If I don’t come clean I can’t approach Him boldly
3.  Believe My High Priest is always interceding for me-
Whatever the financial situation I know Jesus is interceding for me. Also, Jesus was tempted by Satan with the kingdoms of the earth and the riches with them, so He understands what we go through when we are tempted with the things of this world As I

1. Believe that the Word is living and active; 2. Realize I must come “clean” with God concerning my finances; 3. Believe My High Priest is always interceding for me Then 16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need

Making A Distinction- Wealth Riches & Prosperity 


Matthew 22: 17-21 


The next week or so we will look at the difference between wealth, riches and prosperity But first we must renew our mind where money is concerned.  Generally when we think about money we exchange it to mean all of the following: 


Wealth, Riches, Prosperity 


First we must realize we are dealing with 2 different systems: 


I. Money- Man-made means used to operate in the world’s economy-it belongs to the world’s system.  


1. Whose image and inscription is on your money? It is a substitute an exchange for wealth- supposed to be backed by gold (the real wealth) 


2. Because of the nature of money- Inflation & deflation - it has no intrinsic value. It carries the value of the market on daily basis. It changes. 


3. God is not printing money- Wealth, not money comes from God- - Silver, Gold etc- cattle, houses, lands, natural resources etc.  These things represent true wealth- These things are part of God’s economy! 


II. Wealth- Is part of Gods economy. In scripture it refers to force or strength, power, accumulation of treasure, substance- 


 Genesis 13: 1-2 


1 So Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, with his wife and everything he had, and Lot went with him. 2 Abram had become very wealthy in livestock and in silver and gold. 
 


Wealth - stores value. Ex- land, houses, cattle some use insurance to store wealth, bonds that bear interest. Even if home and land values fall the one who owns & accumulates these things is truly wealthy because they exercise a degree of control , dominion & power in the land.
