The Pathway To Financial Prosperity Persistence- Missing Ingredient 04/11/2010

        Matthew 9:20-22 (KJV)

20 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:  21 For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.  22 But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.

For too long the body of Christ has believed the person of Jesus is all we need to achieve financial prosperity. If that is true then why are sinners prospering financially?  If that is true why did Jesus say the children of the world are wiser than the children of light?

The world is prospering without the person of Jesus Christ, while we are quoting scriptures. “The wealth of the wicked….” When are we going to go in get it? They are applying Biblical principles that God can’t ignore because they work for whosoever will.

There are people here who Love the Lord- tithers- givers & live a Godly life BUT… still having financial problems.

Persistence is the missing ingredient- at all costs I will attain that which has been promised to me.

Ingredients of Persistence- Woman with issue of blood

        1. Endured for - Twelve years- some of us can’t last 12 days- this is where the ungodly are beating us out

        2. She Encouraged herself. She said within herself…. - She had made up her mind – nothing is going to stop me! you better show God you are serious!

        3. Pressed through – she had her miracle territory in sight- pressed through the crowd until she reached her goal. It doesn’t do you any good to see…

The Pathway To Financial Prosperity Creating A Defining Moment Through Your Giving 04/04/2010

        Luke 21:1-4 (NIV)

1 As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. 2 He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. 3 "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor widow has put in more than all the others. 4 All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on."

If I were to take a camera and snap photographs of …. Her gestures, her clothing, her expression, the place she sits, would forever be etched in time. These pictures could be passed on from generation to generation to give it an “almost” eternal existence. It creates a defining moment

Facts that create a defining moment through your giving

        1.  Jesus is looking at the gifts that we bring into his temple- vs 1. He is interested. What I give creates a memorial before Him. Every time I give I create a defining moment – a moment etched in time that can’t be changed

        2. He knows whether our giving touches us – is it a sacrificial offering? Does it touch you does it touch the father?

This morning we celebrate resurrection Sunday. The father’s giving of His Son Jesus created a defining moment - forever etched in eternity.

        3. You are forever remembered by your giving- how do I know. Because we are still talking about this widow. – Acts 10  Cornelius, woman with the alabaster box who poured that expensive ointment on Jesus’ head

Our giving creates an eternal picture!

From time to time we are in the habit of pulling out our photo albums- looking at those defining moments in our lives. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry. One thing is for sure a memory that was created is brought back into that present moment of time

The Pathway To Financial Prosperity Developing Your Financial Confidence

        The Pathway To Financial Prosperity

        Developing Your Financial Confidence

        Hebrews 4: 12-16 (NIV)

As Financial Stewards we are required to operate in the system of increase that the Father has laid out for us through- Tithe & offerings-

It’s the foundation in developing our financial confidence because it shows the Father that I am looking to Him as my financial source and it gives me the confidence to make my requests to him based upon the promises He has given me in His word

We see in Hebrews 4 how to Develop Confidence-

        1. Believe that the Word is living and active (KJV – Quick & Powerful) – When I declare the word I should expect it (carried out by angels) to go to work on my behalf. Further, my confidence comes based upon my relationship with the person backing up the word

        2. Realize I must come “clean” with God concerning my finances

Scripture says Everything is laid bare before him - This may mean I need to repent for how I have handled His finances. If I don’t come clean I can’t approach Him boldly

        3.  Believe My High Priest is always interceding for me-

Whatever the financial situation I know Jesus is interceding for me. Also, Jesus was tempted by Satan with the kingdoms of the earth and the riches with them, so He understands what we go through when we are tempted with the things of this world

        As I

        1. Believe that the Word is living and active; 2. Realize I must come “clean” with God concerning my finances; 3. Believe My High Priest is always interceding for me

        Then

16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need

        The Pathway To Financial Prosperity

Making A Distinction- Wealth, Riches & Prosperity

        Psalm 35:27 (KJV)

27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

        Job 36:11 (KJV)

11If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures

         Psalm 30:5-6 (KJV)

5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

6 And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved

        Last week wee looked at:

        Riches

The accumulation of wealth so it continues to grow from generation to generation; A fortress or strength; A secret storehouse of hidden riches that God leads one to.

        Prosper

Means to excel or go to the highest place

        Definitions of Prosperity

        Shalom- Peace that denotes wholeness

        Goodness,

        Being at ease,

        Security and abundance.

God wants this for us in our finances!
